Makeup 101

A lot of women neglect the importance of a well kept set of makeup brushes. Makeup brushes are an important part of good makeup application, and so is the cleaning and maintenance of your brushes. taking care of your brushes is not only important for the brushes, its an important part of keeping you skin healthy. I see many people who just dust off there brushes and keep on using them, this is an absolute NO NO!!!! you should always clean them. Your skin holds tons of dirt and Bacteria that normally isn't harmful to you with normal grooming but when using dirty brushes the dirt and bacteria have a chance to build up and are even more harmful to your skin, and this can all be avoided by a few simple steps.

To start cleaning your brushes you wanna start by buying a brush cleaner this can be found anywhere you can purchase makeup. it's not something that you have to spend a lot of money on just make sure it has alcohol in it this will help disinfect and speed up drying time. i like to you the brush Cleaner from MAC because it cleans you brushes well and leaves them with a pleasant sent when they are dry.

Next you want to pour a small amount in to a bowl and dip your brushes in to it. then using your fingers gently work a lather up on you bristles you will notice the excess makeup and dirt in the lather. once you have a good lather going rinse the brushes under warm water and gently shake most of the w
ater off

Finally you want you reshape you brushes while they are still damp and let them dry. this is important because it will help keep the brushes in good working condition and make them last longer.

Tip: i like to pour my cleaner in to spray bottle so you can just mist a small amount on to the brushes instead of pouring it in to the bowl, this will let you use less and control how much you use easier.
