Its Game time!

The TV series has retured after its two year Hiatus. In 2009 the show was cancled on the CW and after a deal struck with CBS, BET is now producing new episodes of the show. This past tuesday (January 11, 2011) the show premiered and aside form a two year story line jump the show starts off right where it left off. the feel is the same whitty, cheesey, quarky comedy we have grown to love, along with all the drama we cant live with out. Tune in to BET Tuesday nights @ 10.

Kanye West & Jay-Z: "Watch The Throne"

Looks like 'Ye and Jay are going to create some buzz this year.

After an announcement that the two were working on a mixtape together, it was later said that the mixtape was being made into a full length EP entitled "Watch The Throne".

Has a pretty regal yet egotistical sound to it. Then again it is Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Yesterday the first single "H.A.M" was released

Its Britney Bitch

She is BACK! Now I like Brit and all just like the next person. But how much can we take of the same ole stuff? Im happy she has her life back together and is with her kids. Im happy for her! But lets be honest...Britney's vocals have been very disappointing more recently. She has been caught lip-syncing more times than Wendy Williams changes her wig (How You Doin' Wendy!)

"Hold it Against Me" the debut single for the album was released a few days ago via stream with Ryan Secrest. Hold it Against ME is already #1 (work out Brit!)

The album is set to be released March 2011

Makeup 101

A lot of women neglect the importance of a well kept set of makeup brushes. Makeup brushes are an important part of good makeup application, and so is the cleaning and maintenance of your brushes. taking care of your brushes is not only important for the brushes, its an important part of keeping you skin healthy. I see many people who just dust off there brushes and keep on using them, this is an absolute NO NO!!!! you should always clean them. Your skin holds tons of dirt and Bacteria that normally isn't harmful to you with normal grooming but when using dirty brushes the dirt and bacteria have a chance to build up and are even more harmful to your skin, and this can all be avoided by a few simple steps.

To start cleaning your brushes you wanna start by buying a brush cleaner this can be found anywhere you can purchase makeup. it's not something that you have to spend a lot of money on just make sure it has alcohol in it this will help disinfect and speed up drying time. i like to you the brush Cleaner from MAC because it cleans you brushes well and leaves them with a pleasant sent when they are dry.

Next you want to pour a small amount in to a bowl and dip your brushes in to it. then using your fingers gently work a lather up on you bristles you will notice the excess makeup and dirt in the lather. once you have a good lather going rinse the brushes under warm water and gently shake most of the w
ater off

Finally you want you reshape you brushes while they are still damp and let them dry. this is important because it will help keep the brushes in good working condition and make them last longer.

Tip: i like to pour my cleaner in to spray bottle so you can just mist a small amount on to the brushes instead of pouring it in to the bowl, this will let you use less and control how much you use easier.

Playstation Phone

Xperia Play, the PlayStationPhone, the PSP Phone whatever you wanna call it its true. Sony's new phone is real its been speculated for some time now but it is confirmed. the phone is said to be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and holding 512 RAM and ROM. it has also been noted to be running the Gingerbread operating system and featuring a 5 Mega-pixel camera, along with a 4 inch Touch LCD Screen, and featuring a PSP go like design with classic playstation peripherals including a D-pad bumpers the iconic circle, square, triangle, and "x " buttons and a tweaked version of the left and right joysticks which have ben converted to a touchpad.
Equipped with all these new specs and features sound good but how will the phone fair on the actual market
competing with the Iphone 4 and tons of other Android phones, and how will it fair aginst the sales of it's video game/cell phone predecessor the N-Gage which was an initial fail but has slowly gained moderate success for Nokia. the
phone has been reported to have a Sim card slot so it its up for grabs what carrier/carriers it will be avalible on, guess only time will tell.

Miss Minaj Goes Platinum!

"Did It On Em".

Seems like the best thing that can be said here. Nicki Minaj has shipped over one million copies of her debut effort, "Pink Friday" according to the RIAA.

And here's the part where the Anti-Barbies throw salt.

All of the plastic surgery rumors, ghostwriting rumors, sextape rumors, beef with Lil' Kim (which is totally unfair) and ultra-creative outfit ideas only helped fuel the buzz for this promising starlet.

I can't complain because she does have ALOT of talent. I mean would you rather listen to Kim's "Black Friday" over Nicki's "Roman's Revenge"?

Didn't think so.

Wishing Nicki Minaj the best here and more success because she's become the leading force in mainstream hip-hop for women. Also because she's VERY interesting to watch. 2011 may just be another big year for her.

Album Review: Rihanna- Loud

Track Listing:

1. "S&M" - 4.04
2. "What's My Name" feat. Drake - 4.23
3. "Cheers (Drink To That)" - 4.22
4. "Fading" - 3:20
5. "Only Girl In The World" - 3:55
6. "California King Bed" - 4:12
7. "Man Down" - 4:27
8. "Raining Men" feat. Nicki Minaj - 3:45
9. "Complicated" - 4.18
10. "Skin" - 5:04
11. "Love The Way You Lie" feat. Eminem - 4:56

Oh Naaa Naaa Whats my name!?

The album is crazy good right? At first when I heard Rihanna was releasing another album I was a little hesitate...apathetic. Cause I mean she just released Rated R November 20th, 2009. Im like dang girl can you give us a break, you starting to act like Beyonce. HOWEVER! I must say after I heard the first single, Only Girl in the World i was persuaded to see what Ri Ri was doing. I mean Rated R was cool but a little toooo dark for me.

Loud is overflowing with potential singles, and frankly brilliant pop music, “Only Girl (In The World)” is quite simply mammoth. Had this track dropped in August Rihanna would have become the queen of Ibiza. Elsewhere Rihanna steps away from the dance floor for the silky sex rhymes of “What’s My Name”; where Drake is reduced to a brief forgettable cameo next to Rihanna’s carefully judged combination of subdued hooks and heartfelt verses.

While a consistently high across is maintained throughout Loud there are some noticeable missteps. “California King Bed” is a tired an unnecessary ballad. It feels instantly dated with it’s muted guitar acoustic guitar backing and it’s quiet-loud dynamic. It’s the kind of track that artists like Rihanna, Beyonce and even Britney seem to have placed arbitrarily on all of their LPs. At its best it’s generic, at its worst it’s tiresome and overwrought. It’s the kind of track that Gaga would never write; "California King Bed" limp, predictable and cliché ridden, the kind of track the best pop records avoid. “Complicated” is less offensive, but sees Rihanna playing the role of Matt Bellamy with long straining vocals, it’s certainly engaging, but it cannot escape from a distinct feeling of mediocrity.

Again Rihanna fails to top the Billboard 200 with a #1 album. This is her biggest opening week to date in her whole career.Loud hit the charts at #3

I give this album ★★★★☆

Kelly Rowland set to perform on the VMAs?????

Ok ok...so as some of you know, and others don't, Kelly Rowland is set to release her 3rd studio album sometime in November. So she has been doing a lot of promotions getting ready for the album. It is now rumored she will be preforming her hit "Commander" which topped the billboard dance charts at no.1

My only suggestion is that, she permanently fire Tina" Tacky Tina" Knowles as her wardrobe stylist, leave those wigs from the hood chinese beauty supply store alone, and she needs to pre-record a live track..we all know she cant sing that live very well... #shade.

For those of you who doubted it!

Queen Latifah was seen spotted on a yacht with Alicia Keys and her new hubby Swizz Beatz while sailing around the coast of France and Italy.

This of course is still Alicia's honeymoon - make that a group honeymoon? Alicia is accompanied by Queen Latifah who brought along her "friend"/"personal trainer" Jeanette Jenkins and the pictures of the two speaks volumes! Now is it just me or does the personal trainer...need a personal trainer. SMH

Angry Black Woman.

You know I have to say I am proud of Mo'Nique for winning Best Supporting Actress at the Academy. However, I must say this... When will a black actress get an academy for not playing a stereotypical angry black woman.

Stereotypes about black women have coursed through pop culture for centuries. They range from the smiling, asexual, and often obese Mammy to the promiscuous Jezebel who lures men with her sexual charms. But the one getting a major workout these days is the angry black woman. No one ever sees her as independent or innovative she is always loud, rude, and ready to cuss you out.

I hope I am alive the day a black woman can receive an award for just pure talent.

Songs you ought'a know.

1. Corrine Bailey Rae- I'd Do it All Again

This song will be included in her second studio album "The Sea" which is due to come out in February. I love this song, Corrine has been off the scene for a few years after the death of her husband. I have always been a fan of hers...this song, is very personal of her to share with the world... listen to it and tell me what you think.

2. Sade- Solider of Love

Sade in my opinion is timeless! After a 10 year hiatus she is back! Her album "Solider of Love" is set to debut in February just like Corrine, and is highly anticipated. This song wouldnt be a Sade song if it didnt have anything to do without love. This song says to me- Do what you have to, to have love...its rough, but get threw.

3. Alicia Keys feat. Drake- Unspeakable (Ready)
This song in my opinion is SEXY! Its a track off of Mz.Keys new Album "The Element of Freedom" which came out last month and debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200. It reminds me a bit of Janet Jackson, when she had the whole "sexy" thing going. Very cute song.

Album Review: Alicia Keys- The Element of Freedom

First and foremost let me say that this album gives me life. You need it. At first I thought it sounded to much of the same and repetitive...a waste of my time right!

Well was i wrong lol. This album has a wonderful flow to it...track to track Alicia said "The way that the songs progress [on the album] are gonna take you on a natural high. I just want you to feel a sense of freedom, I want you to feel out-of-the-box, feel inspired, You're definitely going to be taken on a trip, I know you're going to be shocked, you're going to hear things that you probably didn't think that I would sound like. It's a journey"

I dont know if I like this whispering thing in her voice, I mean it sounds okay... she tried to pull that whispering stunt on that "As I Am" CD I mean I liked it, its just a little weird.

Shes at a different place in her life and you can hear it in her voice. I think its beautiful.

Check out some of the songs Keys posted on her facebook: http://www.facebook.com/aliciakeys?ref=ts#/aliciakeys?v=app_163113211567&ref=ts

Track List:
"Element of Freedom" (intro) – 0:13
"Love Is Blind" – 3:50
"Doesn't Mean Anything" – 4:33
"Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart" – 4:09
"Wait Til You See My Smile" – 4:00
"That's How Strong My Love Is" – 4:05
"Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)" featuring Drake – 4:09
"Love Is My Disease" – 4:02
"Like the Sea" – 4:13
"Put It in a Love Song" (featuring Beyoncé) – 3:16
"This Bed" – 3:45
"Distance and Time" – 4:27
"How It Feels to Fly" – 4:43
